locket has closed.
We began locket in December 2016. It has been an absolute honor and pleasure to be with all of you while building space for artists to explore and invoke their mastery of each craft. It is time for a devoted shift of space and energies. The future of this space is undetermined at this time. If there is one wish for all of those that gave their utmost to this space, it is for you to continue the journey of mastery in your craft, explore the spaces of your limitless imagination, and share your uniqueness with each other and this world. Thank you are just words that can not begin to encapsulate the feels of undying love for this path.
locket was an intimate, artistic project space in the Industrial SoDo neighborhood. Jennifer M. Brown, an entrepreneurial generative artist, intimate apparel designer and creative director of Under The Root, curates the space. locket supports the philanthropic artistic mission of the space through private rentals. The imaginative environment, furniture and props, plus wardrobe vault lend itself as a buoyant nook inside a historic building. Our clients so far include emerging and established artists, choreographers, students, independent entrepreneurs, and startup retailers. They utilized the space for their project with a concept already in place or developed one with a walk-through tour and consultation.
